I had a suprise to see this thread nudged up today, I am looking forward to getting to a meet sometime. Wish I had gone to the Llanelli one (as it is my home town) but if I recall I was away on holiday.

I went to one in London but as I am a bit shy with strangers I felt out of place, most people seemed to know each other and I was on my own, spoke to a couple of people, but couldn't wait to leave.
Would have enjoyed it more if I had gone with someone else.

Curious to know are these meets usually in the evening or can they be in the daytime?

the meets are great, I went the Llanelli one!last summer, didnt know a soul there, walked in and asked a "likely looking couple" "GR?" and that was that, had a really fantastic day, with great people!!

I've met up with a lovely lady who frequents the boards quite a lot.

You build up a picture in you mind of what they look like and when you meet them it is completely wrong image.

She knows who she is and I felt privaliged to have met her cause she is brill.

I've only been to one. There were three of us,met at lunch time,went for a chinese then to posh hotel for a drink.
Talked about lot's of thing's not just our trees.
With there only being the three of us...we knew who was who lol.
