Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 27 Dec 2007 00:51

I used to be able to drink huge amounts of mostly vodka and pineapple or black russians etc but these days, since not going out so much for social drinking I can't cope with more than four or five glasses of wine and rarely drink spirits. I had to cut back anyway once I became a mum, especially as I was a single parent so no one else once the babysitter went home, if I was out of it, to look after my boy. Soon makes you get out of the habit of drinking lots!

Since I have been with o.h. I have to stay fairly sober, or completely sober if we have the car as he will drink and drive without compunction. He mostly just falls asleep when drunk but can become very belligerent and unpleasant and as he is a secret drinker, he is getting worse.
I know my son drinks a lot when he goes out, and he mainly drinks vodka too, must be in the blood lol but because he was using his scooter on Christmas Day, he only had one drink with lunch and stayed on appletise the rest of the time, bless him. When he goes out with his mates, I know he gets totally bladdered but apparently he is a friendly drunk lol altho inclined to overestimate his powers! I just hope he learns to lessen the consumption a little bit as he gets older and wiser, for health reasons.
Having been a barmaid many years ago, at night clubs and pubs, I have yet to see an attractive drunk female. Seeing an old school mate of mine being hauled down the stairs of a club one night, with little dignity and a lot of underwear etc showing, I always tried to be sensible from then on.
Have fun all of you.
Don't think you will ever see me on here drunk!
Oh unless I win the lottery and then I might wander on to say good bye before I swan off to somewhere hot and exotic!
Lizx

Some get funny, some get maudlin, some get angry, some get bolshy - whichever - none of them are particularly good company!

My OH rarely drinks but oh my if he drinks Bacardi he is embarassingly rude in a risque way (he's usually very well behaved without it - it's most out of character). ............ and for me to be embarassed it has to be bad lolololol x

Tina-Marie Report 26 Dec 2007 23:13

I hate it when my OH drinks as he gets very chatty and repeats himself constantly and turns horrid if I dare disagree.

I don't drink myself as I can't find anything that's nice to drink. I will have to find something soon though as I'm going to centre parcs with the 'girls' so need to practice. I wonder what I will be like?
