That sounds great Jean. We will have to organise our diaries in the New Year.
Sounds like Norwich would be the most central if you are based in Holt and Julie is coming from Thetford. Not sure where Colin would be staying but it sounds like his research is based on the coast so again Norwich would be a central meeting point.

Look forward to arranging something soon.

What a nice thought Frances. Jane lives in Holt and I will only be with her
from Friday to Monday so can't make it this time.

As soon as Liverpool Street kicks into gear again I will be up and maybe we could meet in Norwich for a cuppa before I go on to my daughters.

Julie and Colin

It's a while since we have had a Norwich meet, but I think it is long overdue. As I said I work full time but can take a day off if I have enough notice. Lets hope we can sort something out for the New Year.

Julie,

Anytime you are up this way, just let us know. We love an excuse for a meet, although as I now work full time and TW is working we are a bit restricted for time. Where does your FIL live?

Look forward to meeting up another time. Hope you have a good Christmas.

Just read this thread. Does that mean there are two GR members coming to Norfolk and we are not holding a meet to welcome them? How did that happen?

When are you both coming and would you like to meet up? I am sure TW and I would love an excuse for a coffee/wine in the city - maybe others too.

Let us know.

Frances

Sounds like I'll need to take me wellies when I go next Friday. Jane loves to walk her cocker spaniel in the woods and I've said I'll keep her company while I'm there.

From the met office site.......for East Anglia

Headline:
Frost and fog tonight. A little rain later on Saturday.

This Evening and Tonight:
A mostly cloudy and very misty evening and night some fog patches forming. The fog becoming dense in places by the morning. Temperatures close to freezing with a slight frost in places. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Saturday:
A dry start with mist and fog patches slowly clearing to allow a little sunshine before outbreaks of mainly light rain spread from the northwest later in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Frost and patchy fog through Saturday night. Sunday dry with a little sunshine after the fog clears. Staying dry through Monday with more cloud. A spell of rain on Tuesday.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 26 Dec 2007 to Friday 4 Jan 2008:
A rather breezy westerly weather type will dominate this period, with some strong winds and perhaps gales at times across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Rather changeable weather is expected with some showers and spells of rain across all parts, but particularly in the north, where rain could be heavy at times and may turn to sleet or snow over the mountains. The driest, sunniest conditions will be in the south and east of the United Kingdom, although there will be some showers or spells of rain at times in these parts too, notably next Thursday. Overnight frost and fog patches are likely to form during any more settled spells when winds are lighter, but daytime temperatures will be mostly near or just above normal.
