I guess I must just like food Lol!

Can't think of anything I really really dislike. Not keen on parsnips or carrots boiled. Don't eat a lot of strawberries

Love: rollmops, herring roes, shell fish, anchovies salted or unsalted, olives, marmite, beetroot, avocado, fish, smoked salmon.

Hi Brenda :):)

I think the aussies have the right idea :):) The thought of burger, onion and beetroot sounds lovely :):) We often put out beetroot when we have a bar b que and it does go down well with burgers :))

The Aussies love their beetroot!
Went into McDonalds in Melbourne, and on the list was an Ozzie burger,so daughter and I tried it,and the only difference to an ordinary burger was a HUGE slice of beetroot.Good job we both love it!

Love beetroot, went to a russian birthday party last night, had "fish in blankets (or fur)", it was tiny fish, covered in fresh boiled grated beetroot and potatoe with a tiny amount of onion as well. I dont normally eat fish, but that was delicious! Told by host it takes 8 hours to prepare (boiling beet etc) so only made on special occasions.

I like most food but beetroot is particularly great.
The trouble is in our house that if I put freshly boiled ones in the fridge for a later meal...they somehow disappear.

Avocado....don't like the texture.

I can't stand fried eggs with a leathery bottom.....seems to be a speciality of O.H if ever he cooks them. Why does he have to turn the heat up so high?

Sue, I hate aniseed and liquorice too, and curries and spicy food, it makes my mouth, well my lips, swell like a trout pout!

Sue in Somerset Report 2 Dec 2007 00:44

Love beetroot. Like it cooked and sliced then in vinegar. Also like it in Borsch soup and even like it grated and raw in salad.

Love marmite.....especially on hot buttered toast.

Roast parsnips are great.

I hate anything aniseed and also really dislike drinking coke. I'd rather have a glass of water!
Hate liquorice too.

I couldn't possibly eat fish.... ooohhh no!!!
Anchovies...no how unbelievably revolting! does anyone actually like them?

Beetroot doesn't sit happily either lol

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 2 Dec 2007 00:00

I love beetroot, marmite, sprouts and parsnips, but my favourite thing is Avocado!
When I was pregnant I would eat them with just vinegar in the little well left by the stone, and brown bread and butter.
I like to mash them and spread them on a nice slice of granary bread or a roll, instead of butter or spread and then add ham, or smoked salmon, or cold cooked salmon etc.

Yummy.
