let the rabb iter have him - he'll be looked after and will enjoy himself with other ferretrs - my son had one as a pet years ago and he was delightful, but if they haven't started out as pets they sure can give you a nasty bite. Your rabbits will be able to smell him and sense he's a danger - let him go to the rabbiter

How is your furry friend? Has he got a nice home to go to?

Some people do keep them as pets, but I believe that if they want one to be docile enough to be a pet, Ferrets need to be well handled/domesticated from a young age.
The main reason that country people keep ferrets is to use them to chase rabbits out of their warrens into nets.

I hope 'smelly' gets a good home soon.

Blindfold him so he doesn't see your rabbits lol.

'Smelly' is still here.....

No...roxanne, i wont be bathing her, lmho....I like my fingers ;-))))

I had an offer of a home for her last night, thing is, i'm not feeling good vibes....

A friend of a neighbour said he'd take her...I asked if it was a good home and he said ''oh, yeah, he breads them to hunt with, he goes rabbiting!''

I am torn...Is this what they're sposed to be doing - i mean, is this the reason people have them?? I sort of hoped it would be going to a home to be kept and loved as a pet, or dont people do that????

I don't know what is the best thing for little 'Smelly'...

It will be fine outside in a shed as long as there are no draughts and plenty of hay to snuggle in.

They can get through small gaps though.............and chew through wood quite easily, so make sure its secure.

Hello Marion ;-)

We had our first hog of the year the other week, poor little mite didn't make it though - it was so tiny and was being attacked by magpies, it was also covered in fleas!
We've had alsorts here - but NEVER anything as smelly as this, lol...
