People do understand, Dave.

A lot of us here have been there and come out the other side. It's very difficult for those who have never felt the great black cloud to understand what it does to you.

It's a journey you have to make on your own, even for those of us who had all the support in the world. But it's a journey worth making.

Gwynne

I think that might be a good idea.

Aren't you keeping everyone awake or are you in a private room?

Dave, this is so good, tells it like it is!

I do hope you can get out of the black hole, or at least manage to conquer it enough so you stay in charge, not the depression.

Why not send this to your children to read?

In Norwich we have a place where people with problems can go, a sort of drop in centre, and they publish poems and such in a magazine called the Communicator, I don't know if there is anywhere similar in your neck of the woods, where you could go and meet others, or join workshops or whatever they do? Ask your doctors and see, it might be something you could get involved with, and bring out more of your creative side.

"DEPRESSION"

Does anyone know depression/
Does anyone know what its like/
Does anyone know that lonely feeling
you experience every night/
Does anyone know the plight your in
The loneliness that you are going through/
Does anyone understand its a silent illness there is no physical view/
Does anyone know the needs you have that puts you on your knees/
Does anyone know what you miss of life that used to be/
Does anyone really understand its such a personal thing/
Does anyone feel the need to cry almost constantly/
Does anyone know you want it so much to go away.
Does anyone understand you want to go out and make your way/
Does anyone feel frustration when people say you just get on with it/
Does anyone realise its easier said than done,it really is a brick/
Does anyone realise you try so much to fight it on your own/
Does anyone feel so alone when people are there with you/
Does anyone know what its like to have no one there with you/
Does anyone realise the black thoughts almost everyday/
Does anyone realise you pray so much that they go away/
