I must have eaten loads of crusts 'cause I have such curley hair that it was a nightmare when I was young to get a brush let alone a comb thru it, so now its short!!!
Apple pips and tree's growing inside!
carrots see in the dark!
cold, damp ground - piles!
poke tounge out stay like that if the wind changes!
pick your nose - eyes will fall out!
clean ears or spuds will grow from them!
come here and I'll give you a clip round the ear - yeah and I'd fall for it when I was naughty

My Dad always told us to eat our veggies or we would'nt get hair on our chest, think I was about 9 before I realized girls don't want hair on their chests. Think all my sisters were about the same age. lol

or don't stick your finger in there your brains will fall out....didn't matter whether it was our nose or our ear we were told the same thing.

When my mum was asked how old she was, she always said "as old as my tongue and a bit older than my teeth" loved that one!

My mum always used to tell us not to pee in the sea, cos a big wave would wash us away.

Dandelions - are a natural diuwhotsit.... makes you pee. I had that one told me too.

We were never allowed chewing gum as kids - and to warn us off, were told if we swallowed it, it would stick up our throats and stomaches. Am still nevous when I do swallow gum, even now, at nearly 60. lol

Lies that I told my daughter - that I have eyes at the back of my head. And that I could see through walls.

Nor sure which are the more scarey. lol

when leaning arm on the table and face in hand, ( which stretches skin ) I was told my face would stay like that. Alas my Mother was right.
