Hoping the op goes well for your little one, and that she enjoys hearing the sounds we all take for granted. Bet she will love Christmas once she is used to the volume of the sounds. Maybe a thick hat over her ears will help at first, to muffle the sounds a bit.

Lou, I will be thinking of Jessie Jo tomorrow, hope all goes well. Will be thinking about you as well. And wont it be wonderful for her to be able to hear?

I am sure she will find the normal sounds like traffic quite overwhelming at first but it is wonderful they can do this.

I'd have the op with no anesthetic for her if i could!

Poor little mite, she's only five but has never heard the world as we have...They have said we'll all need to whisper for a while as everything is going to sound really loud to her at first...
