Hi Hayley

I came back from Vegas just over a week ago, and there is so much more to Vegas than just the casino's. It was the 2nd time I went, and I'm looking for next years trip already.

The shopping is great. Fashion Show Mall on the Strip adjacent to Treasure Island, and across from the Wynn hotel, is a 3 floor mall. Including Macy's, Bloomingdales Home, Dillards, Neiman Marcus. There are small boutiques aswell. You can find absoultely anything in there. All hotels have some shops, and the casino/resort hotels have proper boutiques, and designer stores in them. The Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian are a must to see. There is also an Outlet Mall at the very far end of the Strip, a bit out of the way to walk, but there is a bus service from the strip that takes you there. Its $5 for an all day ticket, and you can get on and off the bus (The Deuce) as many times as you like.

Try to see as many hotel resorts as you can. The Wynn, The Venetian, Caesers Palace, The Bellagio, Paris, Planet Hollywood(formerly known as the Aladdin, which includes the Miracle Mile Shops. Really good shopping here also), Luxor, Mandalay Bay.

There is the Stratosphere Tower, ok if your not afraid of heights, like my friend was. If your a bit of a thrill seeker, there are some rides at the top. One that throws you over the side of the Tower and you look at the 111 floor sheer drop, with only a bar across your knees to keep you in. One that spins you out over the side of the tower, again nothing below.

Also the Eiffel Tower at the Paris hotel, you can ride to the top if this aswell, and see Vegas a bit better from the centre of The Strip.

There are also rollercoasters inside/outside the Sahara hotel, and New York New York. There is a full theme park at the Circus Circus Hotel if you want. Open everyday.

The Grand Canyon trip is a must! If you don't book before you go, there is a kiosk on the strip that takes bookings. Its adjacent to the Riviera hotel, and just in front of the Peppermill restaurant. Booked twice with that kiosk, and both trips have been fantastic! Doing that again next year.

There are people on the strip itself handing out booklets which tell you of what to see and do in Vegas, take advantage of these. Also in all taxi's there are booklets. They do give a guide on what to see and do.

There are a lot of free shows on the Strip, the Bellagio fountains are real good. The water dances to music. The Sirens of T.I at Treasure Island, a battle between 2 pirate ships, every night from 7.00pm. The Volcano at Mirage, another good show. The Circus Midway acts at Circus Circus. If you sit in the centre of the casino, on the slots, you get a better view of this show. The Slots are on a revolving floor in the centre of the casino.

I hope you have a good time when you go. I cannot wait to go back!
