There are several threads about Facebook at the mo, I joined a while ago and tonight set up a group on there called Genealogy Nutters United. As a safety precaution I made the group closed and In case anybody is worried about who will see what is put there, it will only be members who can see things and to join the group you have to be approved by Admin (me LOL). So anyone wants to join type Genealogy Nutters United into the search box and have a look

LAS it a site for networking friends, its all good fun, there are lots of things to do, games, groups, messages, and bits and pieces you can add, but basically is for friends getting together.

I believe the privacy issue is very important with this -not least for the fact that people may be posting pics of their kids - this is all the more reason to keep this to the top considering so many people have joined recently?

Exactly Joyous, and my mate in Bristol wants to see them she hasnt seen them in a few years, she has pics of hers and I can' tbelieve how they have grown!

Yep I am intending to put pics of my girls up but they are also for selected eyes only.

Any responsible parent would know where I am coming from with this.

I don't know what you mean about 'scoring points', Teresa. Luckily, I'm very happy with what and who I am and don't give a flying flap who sees what:)

Maggy, as Muffy said, just click on privacy at the top right and make sure only your friends can see anything, and make sure search is set to friends only too.
