I'd be more concerned if you weren't scared.
I had this done when I was 30 and it was the best thing I've ever done.
Good luck today Hope you will be back with us soon

Lynn, I don't think you're soft at all! I'd be scared too, have only ever been in hospital once and that was having a baby lol so doesn't count.

Good luck,

Not soft at all!!
It will be over before you know it. Just think of all the daytime TV and computer games you can play afterwards, while recovering!!
Make sure you're pampered as well - no hoovering, cooking or lifting!!

Hi Lynn - It's natural for you to be apprehensive. Although hysterectomies are common, they are major surgery.

At least you will know the surgeon has done it many times before. The thing is to find the good staff and friendly patients and make allies early on...

Have you got all your nighties and dressing gown etc? I've just treated meself to a new pair of jim jams from M& S online. They are quite nice with stars as buttons...bit difficult to do up but look okay. Makes a change from the tartan monstrosities I wear at the moment.

Hope it all goes well...Liz

That' natural Lynn, I was terrified before my hip was done, I dont mind saying. I've never been in hospital before in my life...

Glad I had it done now, and you will be too.

Will be thinking of you xx

No it's not soft at all. When i have had ops in past i'm physically ill and actually lose weight. And that covers minor op like having ingrowing toenail removed!!! Am total chicken when it comes to hospitals. So no you're not soft atll.
Best wishes for Tues
