Thanks for that Stella... I haven't applied for it, to be honest!

Part of my job used to be filling in all the application forms for the residents (I was for a while manager of a residential home for profoundly disabled (but not always physically disabled) young adults) and I had some horrendous ding dongs trying to get the appropriate levels of Allowance!!

Technically, my situation is currently managable, and technically, I should be able to hold down a job of one sort or another. But the reality is that I am a bit all or nothing, and it would stress me right out if I couldn't give 150% to my job!! That makes me so much worse.

Thanks again for your offer.. but I have a sneaky feeling that part of me adjusting to the diagnosis is not to accept the full impact of needing the DA etc! Sticking my head in the sand, a bit, I know, lol

Love

i have to take bp pills daff coz my damaged kidneys put it up and water tabs aswell as holes in kidneys allow water to seep into tissues what a state to be in , i even take pills to counteract the side effects of the pills i take lol
god, i am getting old!!

lol Stella.. mine is a fairly new diagnosis, so I have not really got my head around it.. my previous gp just told me that everything was due to my time of life, and I just had to get on with it, lol. I had a stroke when I was young slim and in my 30's, so those drugs have always needed to be a priority!! No HRT for me, and many of the drugs for RA etc can also raise BP, but I manage it quite well.

The one thing is that I am not unwell enough to receive DA, but in order to manage everything I didn't feel I could commit to a job. Hubby has been brilliant, so I am now officially a kept woman. This means that when I am good, I zoom around the countryside strutting my stuff like a 5 year old, and when I'm not so good, I huddle away indoors, sleep when I want, and basically just hibernate.

thanks all i so there is different options for arthritis thats good, just hope my exrays are back then a decion can be made, , julie i really admire you and ann, for keeping working this must be so difficult as i know the tramodol, does help but i sleep half the day lol, so working would be out of the question
unless there is a job for a proffessional snorer
julie i said yesterday the head pain is horrendous and hope they find nothing serious wrong and it is the fm, i had this last week and it was nearly as much as i could take so good luck for that xx
