Maggy, I agree what is the use of the chat board in its current format. It is not actually a chat board. it would be different if they had divided it into categories, gardening, hobbies, fun chat etc. But they have left it to members. So, instead of getting different categories you get a gardening thread which isn't, it is just general fun. I find it very confusing and very off putting! I also don't like having to dodge around to find people.

chat is now same as general, hoff has his threads on there now, there isn't a pop in chat room any more

Hi Kitty I think a lot of people don't like the new set up and I came close to giving up a few days ago. I hardly post threads any more because I get few responses. Actually I think I must be because all my threads are boring, I am boring, I bore myself.

I've never really used chat. The few times I ventured there there was some kind of row going on.

I think I'll stick to general.

As you know I am having pooter problems, and to top it all.....
My new broadband is having troubles with my old broadband which does not 'leave' until the end of the month!!

Thanks Mo and BC..........we are pretty sure it will be ok and the consultant hopes to operate within the next 6 weeks.

The finances are our biggest worry, no work, no income, but I am going to the bank on tuesday and see if they can help..........we are lucky to have a low mortgage, so I'm sure they will help us.

I think with me it's a case of "old habits die hard". I barely used the chat board before because whenever I looked on there, there was usually trouble. To be honest I can't see the point of the chat board now, it's not much different to this one. What do other people think?

I gave up last night too... It's very lonely when you don't actually have any specific mates on the boards, I feel an intruder on threads now.

We saw a specialist last friday......he has to have an op in a few weeks to remove a tumour which is affecting his bladder and bowel.............scary stuff, but they are very positive that all will be well after the op...he is only 55 and a generally fit man.

It's the waiting for further x rays and tests per op that is the hardest part at the moment.

We just want it all over and done with so he will feel well again.........this has been a very long 3 weeks!! :((

Off to get prescription for my husband soon....he is having a bad reaction from the latest lot of pills.........he is so fed up and grumpy today, so I have told him to stay in bed for the morning and try to sleep the worst of it off!
