To be honest MM I think they are still in the process of adding and tweaking the site. I think they put the basic site up to keep the site open, and have added bits and pieces as we go along. The Community name only appeared today, in my account details. My threads popped up around lunchtime. so I think it will take a while before it is performing at its best.

Meanwhile, we have to let them know if anything is wrong, or that we really don't like and are perhaps struggling with, such as the background colour, via feedback, so they have some idea of what they need to tweak.

I wrote to GR last night and today, and have had replies.

It is only whilst just looking at old threads that I noticed the incorrect name of poster and have just sent this to GR:


Just going through some old threads, I see that one of the posts on this specific thread has my board name as the poster (Maid Marion) but is signed by Bryan. When reading the post, it is obvious that it is posted by Bryan.
Another glitch in the system, I expect.

I fully understand that Sue, I'm not happy abotu that, but you did get a positive reply from them, saying they will investigate urgently. Thats more than most of us get LOL

Lets hope they can find a solution quickly on that one.

I do see what you are saying CG, but does everyone have to put thier own thread up on the same subject, or could they not discuss the site on the same thread. Thats all I'm saying really.

Twizzle, when you go into your account, scroll down the page and put your board name in the community name space.

Teresa I said before I have given my opinions through feedback and having threads about what is annoying us will encourage others to also go to feed back. If we didn't talk about it on here a lot of people would think it was only them that had a problem so would be less likely to go to feedback.

Can't dispute that too Twizzle, its been one of my bugbears since I've been a member, that when there is an argument on one thread, you can guarantee that there will be another 20 discussing it. Other nicer threads get shoved off page 1 in no time flat.

Its the same thing really. It feels like people would rather moan than just ignore threads and get on with things. LOL

TW yeah ok I missed last night and do sort of agree with you :-))))) but all I'm trying to say is that on some nights on these boards when there is a war going on between certain factions , or somebody has been suspended , you try putting a thread up ,you ca'nt because of all the ongoing threads about those situations , so to me its swings and roundabouts , anyways lets all smile and be happy :-))))))))))))))) Twizzle

But that is what feedback is for. You can let off steam about what you don't like directly to GR. They won't do anything unless you do, they dont' read threads as we all know.

Sure we can all have a discussion on whatever about the site, but do we really need 100 threads on it, when one long one will do?

That way it gives everyone a chance.

I understand what you are saying Teresa but if the board is full of moaning threads to me it means a large amount of people are not happy with the new GR set up and want to let off steam through their own thread. Can't be all happy jokey threads all the time.

Twizzle, its nothing to do with double standards, youwere not here last night, it was all the boards consisted of, and they all said the same thing.

CG, if you read the rest of my thread, perhaps your reply would have been in a slightly better tone.

All I am saying is that those of us who still want to post other topics, lose them in the multiple threads on the same topic. I am not disputing anybodys right to post a thread on any given subject, but when there are already dozens of threads on the same thing, would it not make more sense to post on that thread as part of the discussion?

Please don't take to heart what I have said, I have tried my best to make it clear that I am not having a go at anyone in particular, but I also, as a paying member have a right to say that I don't want other interesting or fun topics to be lost among the barrage of moans.

I also said, GR will not do anythign about the problems with the site unless we tell them in feedback.

I have given feedback to GR and if I wanna let of steam and moan in my own thread I will. This board is for all to add whatever thread they like. If you see the thread is about something that is not of interest to you move on to one that is.
Feel better now I will go back to my own thread and moan!

Can understand your comments TW but methinks double standards prevail here , so its ok for certain personna to post lots of threads when they feel like it , be it good or bad , yet when we have a dramatic change ( for some people ) to the design of the boards then it's not ok for them to tell the other members on the site how they feel . Yes I agree they should also inform GR about there complaints but to be honest I ca'nt see 15-20 threads making comments about the new style of the boards clogging up the threads , Jeez Hoff with his wicked sense of humour can put out more threads then that in an hour , I just feel that those members who have paid there money to post a thread should be allowed to :-))))))))))))))))))))
