I'm having chemo at the moment for breast cancer, 4 down, 4 to go. I have it intravenously every 3 weeks. The first week I feel tired and my digestion is upset, but that is followed by 2 weeks when I feel pretty much OK and live a normal life. So far it has been reasonably do-able!! I have lost all my hair, but this doesn't happen with all chemotherapy drugs. It depends what regime you are on, and what you are being treated for. I don't know what you are suffering from Joyce, but I sincerely wish you all the best. Modern chemo drugs are very effective, and as the oncologist said...you give us a year of your life and we will do our best to give you 20 back. (((Hugs to you))) Dee x |
