Well, I am cheating now...but my google says that Tottel used phrase :play fast and loose in 1557, George Whetstone in 1578 in The right Excellent historie of Promos and Cassandra. Then Shakespear in 1595 in King John. Ann put us out of our misery on this one please :0))) |
