Marion, When you mentioned looking at the old houses in the streets of Hastings, it reminded me of doing the same thing in the streets of Canterbury, and also Rye. Janice

Joy.......im with you on the Palma Cathedral, Majorca, but I have always loved the Crysler tower in New York. Always have done from avery young age, and was so pleased to see it in real life over easter.

And the town hall in Woodbridge, Suffolk. I could keep adding to this for ever, as I think of more :-)

The Taj Mahal - the symmetry, the reflection in the lake, the beauty and precision of the small pieces of marble mosaic. And the romance of it being built in memory of his favourite wife. When he looked out of his bedroom window he could see it in the distance. Jay

I know this isn't a building, I suppose it's a landmark really, but I love the BA London Eye, you can see it from all over London, and when you;re in it, you can see most of the sights, been in it twice, and off again in a few weeks. It's well worth a ride.

I have a particular soft spot for Unilever House on Victoria Embankment. I worked there from leaving school in the sixties to when I left to have my first baby in the late seventies. It's a lovely building architecturally speaking (at least I think so), and holds many happy memories for me. However I have just Googled and found that it has recently undergone a massive refurbishment and I'm not sure I like the internal alterations! The external facade is still lovely though. Dee x

I love any of our cathedrals, and also the big Gothic ones in Normandy - they are really impressive. I also love the Pantheon in Rome.
