Went out beginning of March 1992, got engaged five months later in August of the same year and married April 1994. Been married for 13 years.

A total of 85 days............yep...............85 days in 1972, of which, approximately 30 days were spent apart whilst I was in the Merchant Navy. Nearly 5 months....decided to get engaged after we had been together about 3 weeks! We've been married just over 9 years now! He's my brothers best mate,so I'd known him for about 20 years before we got together.We often say,'who'd have thought it...!' We met in July 1955 altho was only a meeting at the local Catholic Church Sunday evening dance and we chatted as part of a group and we never made any arrangements to meet again. Went on Holiday and then he did too and we met up again at the same dance in the late Sept. started going out and got engaged the following Easter, April. Got married 15 months later in Aug 1957 and celebrated our Diamond last friday the 3rd Shirley

5 years, 2 & a half months - but knew each other as friends for a very long time - my Granny lived opposite his Granny & my Dad knew his Dad. My Mum taught his younger sister & brother & we went to the same church!! We've been married 16 years now. Ails x
