I was born in a Victorian terraced house, belonging to my paternal grandparents. Shortly after I was born we moved into a council house on a brand new post war housing estate – homes fit for heroes I guess When I first married in the 70’s we lived in a flat above a shop, and to be perfectly honest it probably should have been condemned, the electrics were certainly dodgy I now live in a house on an estate built in the 1960’s, and have lived here over 30 years. The house was part of a development that probably increased the size of the village by over 500% and the locals took a long time to accept the incomers, who had mostly come from London..
