I'd be quite happy to meet at the Wee Waif or whatever it's called now; I haven't been in there for many years but it's certainly easy to find on the A4. |

My Grandma was born in Woolstone and I have ancestors from Uffington, Letcombe Bassett, East Hendred, Lambourn and Wantage. I also have a friend Pam, who's also a member and she grew up in Lambourn, so we may be interested in a meet-up. Do you all know that Pink Diana is organising an Auction in March 2005 for Gaynor's cancer charity, to be held in Newbury, it would be great if lots of members could go along and support the event. Hi Dorothy That would be easy to find for most people wouldn't it - I think it's still called the Wee Waif - haven't been in for a long time but I've heard it's ok |

Hi folks Would love to meet up somewhere central-ish. How about picking a date in January, as I think most people are a bit busy in the build-up to Christmas? It would be good to have something to look forward to then. Can I bring a neighbour of mine who is also very interested in family history? Helen (May) |

Dorothy, Same here, would not attempt the town centre, but there are lot's of places off the M4 junctions. See if there is a response and we go from there, what do you think? Kim |

Dorthoy My thoughts exactly! where did this spring from? but gald it has. I live in Sandhurst, which is now Berks, met hubby in Bracknell, he was sitting between the boiler and the cooker in our kitchen, long story! that was 24 yrs ago! Work in one of the secondary school's in Bracknell now, but with little ones. If anyone is willing to sort a get together for the Berks lot I'm for it, but not the organising, useless at anything like that! Kim |

Hi, my Smith side of the family came from Speen, nr Newbury. My G-grandfather joined the army and eventually settled in Dorset. I was born in Durham City myself, and now work in London. I class myself as a Berkshire person although somewhat distantly!! Marcus |
