i stay in the scottish borders an the correct pronounciation of hawick is "hoik" strange as this may be just a peice of useless information reall :)

Thanks to all who have replied. I know the first 2 towns (or did know them - I haven't lived there for 23 years). I just wndered if anyone knew of the Priory in Selkirk.

Hi Samantha, since I'm in Edinburgh and depending where in Northumberland you are we're probably about euqal distance away from them. Only thing I'd add is some people have difficulty with the pronunciation of Hawick. It's Haw Eek. Sorry if you already knew that!
