Does anyone else find themself doing silly things every day? In the past few days it's been one thing after another. I have done my washing only to get halfway through the cycle and find the washing on the floor next to the machine and nothing in it. Cracked open eggs only to put the shells in the basin and the actual eggs on the workbench, yesterday I made my mum a toastie sandwich and forgot to put one of the slices of bread in. Today I put some sweetcorn in the microwave to warm up and when the timer "pinged" I opened the door to find crispy breadrolls (that I'd put in there the other day as there was no room in the breadbin) and the sweetcorn was still on top of the microwave. I need a holiday!!!! |

At least you gave me a chuckle, and the consolation that I am not alone. My favourite trick is putting the washing in the machine then when it finishes the wash discovering the washing liquis on the work top. Strangely enough the washing always looks clean though which should tell us something. I requently go to put dirty dishes into the fridge and food into the dishwasher.!! No - you are not alone. I washed some spuds (wanted jackets for tea), put them in the oven. Hour later realised I couldnt smell them, I had put them in the washing machine instead of the oven. Blond day... |

Too right Paul! I obviously take after my mother as I remember her going mad one day as she said I had taken the polish(as if!) and she was holding it in her hand all the time. L.xx |

Sprayed the cooker with polish, instead of oven spray, and put salt in coffee, instead of sugar!.. blamed it on being p.s.m.l. (no not that one, my own version of initials, which stands for post-menopausal!.. use it a lot these days!..). |

Manda, that made me laugh! I remember years ago at work (in the days of typewriters) I typed out a long report and I noticed I'd missed a line out so I carefully retyped it, with no mistakes, and felt really pleased with myself. I ripped up the incorrect one and was putting it in the bin when I realized I'd torn up the correct copy. I think I have been scatty for years and have only just realized!! Lx |

These post-menopausal moments start early. When I was at school we had to knit squares to make blankets for some charitable cause or other. To make the edges neat we were knitting diamond shapes instead of squares. I was explaining this to a girl who had missed the instructions - "when you have increased the stitches to 4" you need to start decreasing" "How long do you do that for?" she asked me "Until you have no stitches left". nell |

You have reason to worry when you come down early in the morning, start to make an egg and bacon sarnie ,whilst making a cup of tea and put the eggs [two] in the teapot and the tea bags in the frying pan with the bacon. It dosn,t help when the wife says nowt but stands there with a ruddy stupid grin on her face .I blame post senile dementier, but the wife says i,m just a daft old git.Fred.ptfg. |

My mother (now deceased) was going out for the evening and sprayed her hair with laquer. Only it was fly killer! |

Oh Brian, your poor mum! I sprayed mine with furniture polish once which my husband thought was hilarious. Dear me, the more I think the more I realize just how many daft things I've done over the years. Lx |
