I use the boards regualarly, and it seems most of us who trace family history are female. Wonder why? More patience? |

Ah now Kevin, that is a very good point. Women on the whole are more genetically pre-disposed to communication, so it's understandable that more of them chat on the boards than the men. |

Never done anything scientific on this. I'd say it was 60 - 40. There were plenty of men at our family history group on Thursday night. But, present company excepted, men are much shyer about expressing their views. And I do work 9 -5. Well, 10 - 6. Brenda |

Medically retired, that is a nice way of putting it. I think I come under that heading. Also, it is said that men never like to ask for directions, so maybe it follows that they dont like to ask for help on here either |

Well, I'l tell you something now. I went tlo Watford to a football match on Saturday, and needed directions to the ground (not THE Watford football club, a small non-league side). I got directions from someone, but got very lost - went into t apetrol station to get directions, and was sent in completely the wrong direction. 45 minutes after arriving, on the verge of giving up, I managhed to stumble across the place. So I *did* get directions, TWICE, but still found it better to rely on my own judgement :) Paul |

I can do what Kevin can AND tap my foot at the same time to the tune that I'm whistling! That's four things. |

I always find that tapping my foot whilst peeing leads to rather unpredictable results with regard to aim lol |
