I'm starting university this Weds. 3 years to train as a midwife. I'm really looking forward to it. I think hubby is looking forward to not working as hard as well! Will keep you posted as to how I'm getting on. Julie

Julie, Good luck. My niece trained as a midwife and emigrated to Australia where there was a dire need of them. She has settled there now and has two children of her own and insists that her 'job' is the most satisfying in the world. Jean x.

Good Luck Julie, My cousin (Julie!), has been a midwife, for about 18yrs and she loves it!, she goes out delivering, and last month delivered her first grandchild, a little girl, just lucky she was there at the time. It is a very rewarding career, good luck.

Hope you have better luck than my ex. She took Midwifery as a Mature Student, but by the time she had qualified they wouldn't use her. Said she was too old!!!! Jim
