I have been to Ireland many times mainly to Galway, cos my mother in law has a place there, but as my family come from County Kerry I made my husband take me there last year, and it is the most beautiful place, try the Ring of Kerry for fantastic scenery, people are great too, they never seem to hurry, needless to say, going back there next Feburary. Mind you very difficult to research there. Oh well, you can't have everything can you. Belle. |

Hi Gerry, some of my ancestors had, I've recently been told, "an ancestral home in Cork", so as you can imagine I'd really like to visit Ireland. I've always wanted to go there anyway; I've got more reason now! I was told about the home by a distant relative via G.R., so I was pretty chuffed! Wow - took a few photo's, didn't you! Regards, Glenys. |

I agree Gerry, we loved it so much we moved here LOL!! We knew we had Irish blood in us but didn't know how much. Moved here with no family here at all. I think we were only here 2 days when we were invited to a wedding of a complete stranger - people stop you in the street and chat as if they have known you since you were knee high. Your waved at on EVERY country lane be it by other car drivers, walkers or those sitting outside the front of their houses. Sociable bunch all round LOVE LOVE LOVE the people, scenery is spectacular too and this is NORTHERN IRELAND I live in where its portrayed as EVIL by the media. Much happiness Debi |
