Hi all Does anyone know of decent b/b's or pubs that do b/b around CHESTERFIELD. I have to go to Derby records office and need a b/b either in a pub or a decent b/b. I know records office is in MATLOCK but can get bus or train to matlock. I would prefer to stop around the Chesterfield area or even in 1 of the districts that is classed as chesterfield, I have tried tourist info but they only got hotels. Any info appreciated Sue |

Sorry Sue I don't know the area but have you looked online after a Google search? I have done this when we have needed to research a distant area and then phoned the B&B direct. I even found a super bungalow one in the village where my ancestors lived. What a bonus!. Good luck. |

Check out www(.)bedandbreakfastnationwide(.)com There is a B/B 2 miles from Matlock 01629 534302 £25 and one 3 miles from Chesterfield 01246 556851 £26-£30. We have stayed in a B/B in the Lake District from this book and it was very good. |
