I went to Nuneaton train station at dinnertime with my son to wave at it as it went past - we got a toot from the driver! Euston to Manchester in less than two hours is pretty good! It's a shame that what was British cutting edge technology (APT in 1980s) was developed by the Italians. |

Waving to trains. So much of my childhood seemed to be spent waving to trains as my Dad was keen on steam engines. Later I too waved each morning, on my way to the bus stop, to the driver of a goods train loaded with Bubble Cars.... Now I'm showing my age. What did you think of it John? |
