Valley, I think he did want me to find him- I had a similar experience looking for his marriage- tried loads of times on free bmd, no luck ,then one day suddenly thought- I'll try again one more time- and there it was!!! My grandmother lost touch with this side of the family when my grandfather died, so my dad knew nothing about his grandparents until I started my research. I wonder if they want him to know about them finally?? |

I have just had a spooky eperience and wanted to share it. I have been trying to find the year of my g-grandfathers birth, and have spent quite a lot of credits on 1837. trying to 'guess' the year- all to no avail. I was concentrating on the 1940's, and was down to my last credit, when I suddenly thought- I'll try 1938- have no idea why. Then I had to choose which qtr to go for, and again for no apparent reason picked the last qtr. It was so spooky because suddenly- there it was, his death in 1938!!! On my last credit too!!! I don't know why I suddenly picked the right year and qtr - do you think he was 'nudging' me in the right direction???? I am so pleased to have finally found the right year, but I don't think I found it on my own!! |
