It is said that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit- I don't agree, I think it is sharp,born of a very quick and observant mind but of its very nature can be cutting and painful. Some of the best literary minds used sarcasm and it could be extremely funny. Noel Coward whilst dining was approached by a phychophantic woman who said to him 'oH, IF WE HAD A CHILD CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE IF IT HAD YOUR BRAINS AND MY LOOKS, to which he replied BUT THINK MADAM WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE IF IT HAD MY LOOKS AND YOUR BRAINS' rOSE |
