Last year we went through the Channel Tunnel on a Saturday for £15 departing at 12 noon and returning after 10pm. For £9 the departure time was after 3pm. Had a great time, done lots of shopping then had a nice meal. Great. |

My wife would like to see her mother before Xmas as we'll be on the Costa del Sol then. Also gives us a chance to buy clothes, xmas puds, english prezzies for our french friends, etc. However, to go by air does not give you a chance to carry much, so I looked for a car ferry, well the prices are astro-thingy, very high, £300 plus, except the midnite xings. Out of the blue, someone mentioned Speedferries on internet, ten minutes later I have a £50 return Boulogne -Dover in a fortnight's time. And at midday, so England here we come, Derek in France |
