I've been speaking to aunts and uncles to gather photographs and certificates etc relating to the HOLDSTOCK family. My uncle has a letter from June 1975 from a Maurice Richard Loveridge Holdstock who was tracing his family tree and was hoping that Holdstocks in Hull would reply....better late than never! My uncle never replied but I'm interested in trying to find Maurice (he was born in 1924 so it's possible he is still around!) or at the very least his family, I thought that they might like a copy of the letter. Any idea where to start?! I doubt there is much point writing back to the original address. Hope this shouldn't be on the 'trying to find board' but he is not in my family tree so that made things tricky. Craig. |

Thanks Crista. I've noticed that there are loads of Holdstocks from Tenterden on various genealogy sites. I might try contacting a few of them to see if there is a link - wish they'd joined GR! Thanks again. Craig. |
