I think the biggest mistake is to be too prolific with threads. One person can dominate all and push other, slower moving, question and answer threads, usually the result of careful thought by a number of people interacting, off into oblivion. Surely one or two threads a day per member is adequate. I wonder why the popular "General Topics" board is limited to 15 pages whereas the "Success Stories" is given 33.3% more ? Could it be GR self interest? len

Keep repeating everything that has been said over and over again.... It's getting boring now.... you made your point ages ago... drop it and let peace reign on the boards!

hi crista- brilliant ! personally, i find it offensive when people repeat on the boards e mails they have been sent by other members. this should be dealt with off the boards.sue.

Be completely self important, and/or belittle those with opinions that differ from your own (as they don't count).

Mary - Glad to hear that - truly I am - those hair shirts are really uncomfortable! Isn't it a shame that some people seem to have nothing else in their wardrobe to wear though ?? Why are there people who insist on being irritable and irritated by some really quite innocuous things? I watch arguments develop and sometimes long to wade in and say 'get a life' but hold back in the hope that the fire will die down and go away. Then someone comes along and fans the dying embers to life and off we go again! I'm with you on this one. It disrupts the boards and causes nothing but frustration for those who would like to be able to give an opinion but decide against it for fear of spiteful and sometimes vicious personal attack. They may not leave the site but having their contribution to the boards witheld is a sad loss to us all. Magsxx

People rarely using the general topics board, then only adding to threads or starting threads with the intention of stirring things up. Elaine x :o))

Be as sarcastic and as arrogant as you possibly can. After all, you're not going to meet any of these people face to face are you, so who cares?
