lemoncurd sarnies, dirt and coal but not all at the same time, but the one more likely to turn my stomach now believe or not would be the lemoncurd sarnies. Shaz |

My brother and I used to like creamed butter & sugar, we used to make ourselves some when parents went out. As a tot, I once tried eating grass 'because horses do', but it made me very sick. Val |

Weetabix with butter and jam, Mum used to spread that thick condensed milk on bread as well, and I also loved those jelly-cream type desserts, they were like blancmange, but had a creamy bit on top, and Rowntree's cremola dessert! (have a sweet tooth here!) :) |

When I was really young I used to sneak into the coal bunker and munch my way through a few bits. Our neighbour had a dog and I would nick his biscuits given half a chance. When I was old enough to prepare food I used to love Rich Tea biscuits buttered with marmalade and and a slice of cheese on top (still have this combination on toast occasionally.) I've also had the sugar sandwiches, chocolate butter cream sandwiches (when we'd run out of chocolate spread) dripping sandwiches(can't make these now 'cos there's too much water in the meat so you're left with just the fat and no meat jelly) But the most appalling concoction I ever came up with was Scrambled Egg with Cadbury's chocolate spread. Just the thought of it now turns my stomach! |

Oh, Alan, stop it! I'm trying to keep off chocolate at the moment, and you've just set me off again! I used to do the same - wasn't it lovely. Got all round yer mouth. As a kid, I also used to like eating raw smoked bacon, chewing the ends off chicken bones, and eating stale bread. Strange thing is, I've always hated lots of things that everyone else eats/drinks all the time - tea, milk, custard, strawberry jam, porridge, sherry, beer. In fact, if I ever see a sherry trifle, I'm likely to throw up! LoL CB >|< |

My brothers ate coal, sand, soil, worms, beetles and earwigs. but would scream blue murder if you tried to feed them broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower or sprouts, cheese or tomatoes! Where do they get their reasoning from? Abigail |

My Mum used to say that if we didn't eat our cauliflower, she'd do what her mother had done to her brother. My Gran boiled a whole cauli, put it on a plate and gave it to my Uncle Bill for his lunch, instead of what everyone else was having. He was told that it would be served up again at every meal unless he ate the whole thing. He lasted till dinner the following day, when the thing was brought out yet again, smelling horrible. He was then made to eat it all before he could leave the table. None of the family ever refused cauliflower again. CB >|< |
