There is a lot to be said for paganism. Feminine deity, Mother Earth, Do unto others (which appears to get forgotten a lot by followers of mainstream religions) The ecology of this planet would be a lot better off if Paganism was adhered to. And then theres all that naked dancing and orgies ;-)) |

I go to Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - commonly known as mormon church. Don't blame me for any errors on IGI :)) Not my fault, honest :) Joanne |

Was never christened, so I guess I am going straight to Hell! I was blessed though (my parents decided not to christen their children when it cam to the last one, me!). I was brought up Christian, church every Sunday. Went to a Christian camp in the Summer for a week. I believed. Then I started questioning, and now I really don't know what to believe. Religion just seems to cause upset, pain and suffering.... it's a shame. |

Religion and advanced science seem to be coming together. The signs have been there for years but, at last, theoretical science seems to be coming back to what it began with; metaphysics. Perhaps organised religion has departed from age-old spiritual beliefs of mankind. Certainly male dominated religions have caused more suffering, more bloodshed, more hatred in the world than any other cause.. Perhaps their days are numbered. Would the world be a better place without them? The idea of a cosmic consciousness can help make comprehensible the intelligibility and beauty of the physical world. Physicists are giving up on their search for a Theory of Everything and the belief that mathematics has to key to all things is acknowledged, even by Stephen Hawking, as doomed to failure. Modern cosmology refines and articulates the idea of an ultimate mind in very exciting ways. For the believer, the ultimate mind is the basis of all European and Western culture and is normally referred to as God or Allah which is fundamental to religion. Other religions sometimes spread the deity a little more thinly with multiple gods. The ancient Egyptians revered everything. Len |

Baptised and raised a Catholic, but have now decided that christianity is about how you live life and not about attending sermons and reading the bible. |
