Mine is Rita which I loathe, say it with a cockney accent and you'll see why. I'm glad I was'nt named after my grandmother, she was called Gertrude. I did choose my sons middle name as Stanley which he hates, but as I explained to him that his grandad died just before he was born and I had to really. Jo.

My partner is called Alan Robert M.... His initials spell ARM , obviously, and as he only has one (arm that is) ...... it does cause few problems. When things have to be signed for he just initials things which causes much laughter! Jess

Poor little me doesn't have a middle name. Neither do my sisters or my mum. My dad's is Ralph so maybe not having one isn't a bad idea :) My sons middle names are Adam and Thomas. I thought if they didn't like their first names (Zachary and Nathaniel) they could always use their middle names. Joanne

Debs - well my first name is to quote you 'plain old Ann' and I like it! Get miffed if someone adds an 'e' on it or dares to try and say 'Annie' - my middle name is Christine - both chosen by my father who told my mother she could choose for the next child but at the font he pulled a fast one and spoke before she did!!! She lost out twice. She wanted to call my brother Robin. Ann
