mine is Elisabeth (with an S or a S???) its french, dont you know!!!

It is catholic and in the latin countries it is the Virgin Mary that the childred are named after. Normally the first name is Maria followed by a second name and the majority of women are know by there second names. Lindy;-))

Elton John's middle name is Hercules, but he used to be Reg Dwight. My middle name, after my mother, is Ruth, which I have always liked. My poor mum's middle name is her mother's maiden name, Smoothy. My dad was called William Frederick Randall after his uncles Will, Fred and ... yes you've got the idea. nell

Roger; the only reason I can think is that one of my mum's cousins has that name. Little bruv got given Antony, as I had a school mate with that name and my parents liked how it was different to Anthony. Have your parents ever told you what you would have been called had you been born as a member of the opposite sex?
