She's done it. Six weeks of radiotherapy and she's come through yet again with a smile on her face. Susie has done brilliantly. Not wishing to sound smug or anything, but after the last nine/ten months she does deserve something to go her way. After the first horrendous week, everything settle down with the aid of sterods and she has relatively sailed through the daily session. Unfortunately she has lost quite an amount of hair and for and young lady of 17 (birthday tomorrow) that's rather important. But she is very philosophical (think that's how to spell it) and says 'if people don't like it then they shouldn't stare'. Has taken to wearing bandanas though, not surprising in this weather too. We won't know any results for at least six months, even twelve, but as long as she stays healthy and happy, then we're happy. I have to say that I, for one, am immensely proud and feel damn priveledge to have Susie as my daughter. She just amazes us how she had dealt with what life has thrown at her over the last seven years.
