I just renewed today at £7.50 even at £9.50 its still a complete bargain when you consider that with help from other members on the Records Office board you pretty much get access to ancestry, numerous CDs you'd normally have to buy and a wealth of information that everyone keeps stored in their heads

Dear Paul, thanks for your email. I can confirm that the upgrade fee for Genes Reunited is currently £9.50 for new members joining the site. Any members who are renewing their upgrade will pay £7.50. Paul

A few members on the boards have been in a state of confusion over what it will cost them to renew the subscriptions to genes. I emailed genes to clarify the situation and stop any more confusion the reply from genes is posted below.
