Don't tinker with it - keep the competition going - it's what keeps the sport alive. There's nothing like a difficult struggle to encourage contenders for the top spot. CB >|< |

I would say so far that with regards changes to the rules and regs, Ferrari have managed to stay one step ahead of their rivals. Would a handicapping system work where the most successfull team gets penalised for the next race (in terms of grid position, or fuel to be carried), or do you agree with Ferrari's opinion that its up to the other teams to make the necessary improvements in order to catch them? |

My son and I always used to watch F1 up until a couple of years ago. We gave up watching it purely because it became too predictable as to which team would win. It's about time that the other teams stood a fair chance of winning a race rather than Ferrari getting it every time Sarah, x |

Think the new regulations mean that the one set of tyres have to last the whole weekend so no tyre changes at the pitstops, just fuel. Also the engines have to last for two races and if fail could mean droping 10 places down the grid at the next race. Kxx |

I am a great fan of Formula 1 and enjoyed watching the Birmingham GP for the few years it lasted. A Question, When are the Tyre companies going to come up with tyres that can last for 200 miles? Surely that is not too much to ask. We have tyres on our cars that can do 20 or 30 THOUSAND miles. |

I hope so. Papers are saying that Ferrari are not ready (will be using modified old car) and that other teams have made great strides over the winter, so here's hoping. (mind you I think they say that every year and then we get to see the red car roaring off on it's own in the distance!!) Has anyone seen this weeks advert for the Guardian about F1 cover?? Think it would be a great idea, at the pitstops the driver has to get out the car and get spun around 10 times before driving again - would certainly make things more interesting!! Kxx |

Agreed. As long as 'Red Ken' keeps it off the streets of London! CB >|< |

I sincerely hope so, as the last thing we need is another 'redwash'. Ferrari probably couldn't believe that McLaren would get off to such a dreadful start, last season. A season more like the one in 2003 would be greatly appreciated. |
