Hi Andy! My hubby LOVES Jagermeister - we've got a bottle in the cupboard! There used to be a bar in Frankfurt called Hexenbar (witches bar) and they served their 'own' Schnapps there called Hexentoppe (sp?) or Witches Brew!! It was made from spuds and you had to down in one cos it was foul. Warmed you up though!! Maz. XX

My Dad used to make Poteen in our Bathroom! About 200% proof and guess who was his little taster? If my face went purple, then it was good stuff! lolBC

Jenny, you brought back a memory with Polish White Spirit, lol. I was a very naive 17 year old who got talked into trying it, a clue should have been the fact that it came out of the freezer still liquid, lol. I was told to down it in one as it wasn't meant for sipping......so i did. Stunned all the men in the bar by saying, ok, no big deal, can i have another....then wondered why my boyfriend was so ticked with me. He had made a bet that no one could drink 2 as he had struggled to do so himself and failed.......so i made him look silly :-) Have to be honest and say it was foul, the only reason i toughed it out was growing up with just brothers and male cousins had taught me to make it look like i was as as ''big'' as them or get teased badly for it. I had such a bad headache and stomache for the next day or two, but it was worth it in the end, lol. Yvette

When we first met, 'ere indoors was in the wholesale wine trade and brought home some pretty good samples of spirits before they were watered down to retail strength!
