Agree Snoopy unfortunately the laws of this country do not allow castration. My brother in law was an Hospital officer in a Prison,Shortly before he was released a sex offender came to my b-i-l and said I would like to be castrated 'I am being released soon and I know I will reoffend' at least this one particular offender admitted to his problems! Hi, Without going into too much graphic detail studies show that castration has little effect on a crime that is as much about power and control as it is about sex. I agree with Sarah. Justice must be done but through the legal system. I would never join in a mob baying for blood and, yes, someone close to me has been a victim. I have also worked with abused children. I believe life imprisonment or confinement is the only suitable punishment for paedophiles. Gwynne

Sorry to get involved again, but just had to say, I watched a programme a while ago, regarding Scotland Yard's work to try to find and imprison paedophiles and one of them actually said he was willing to be castrated, but it would be pointless because he knew that his feelings to abuse came from his head and not his genitals. His feelings were so strong that he committed suicide during the making of the programme. M.

Being abused causes changes which affect the rest of your life and the people around you, even if they don't know about it. The abuser should suffer for as long as the victim. Abigail
