Hi Viv.. I live in Telford so a staffs meet would be good. I have been to 'Chat' meets before.. last one in Edinburgh.. was brilliant as i got to wear my kilt.. lol Firstly you need to get some idea of the amount who want to come. This will help you decide on what venue you would need. Some meets i have been to are only. ..5 or 6 strong. .so a corner in a nice pub somewhere is sufficient. Others... where there have been upward of 50 people .. then you might be better off trying to arrange a room for it. Good on you Viv. If you need any help .. let me know. Regards Andy |

To everyone who has replied to this thread. THANK YOU. It was only making enquiries as to whether there had ever been a Staffs meeting!!!!!!!! and guess what?????????? it looks like No!! there has not,(well at least no one has said otherwise) Anyway looks like one would be a good Idea, SO, I will have a look around to see if there is anywhere central, like I mentioned before.. and see if I can get the 'Ball rolling'.. so everyone who is keen, let me know so I can get an Idea of numbers!!!!!!!!! IF there is anyone who has ideas, or experience of a meet then perhaps we can all get our heads together!!! What do ya think???????????????? Viv |

Well Viv look like you have started the ball rolling, now just find some where central, or try asking where would be best for most then take it from there, I would love to come, as I used to live in the midlands, if it is a time when I am up there I will come, good luck. Bev |

Hi I have now been to 2 meets the 1st one was a small one, we all chatted getting to know each other, the next one was bigger and again we all chatted some times about geneology and other times about every thing and nothing, the one thing I can say is that every one who I have met so far has been well worth meeting, such a lovely bunch, and if you feel nervious just remember so do others, so be your self and enjoy.
