You were all so kind and supportive a few weeks back when my son, Jordan, had an epileptic seizure. Tomorrow – a week before his GCSEs start – he has to have an EEG to ensure that it is definitely epilepsy and nothing more sinister. He hasn’t complained once about taking regular medication, or having his driving lessons postponed. If you can spare a few positive thoughts for him, I’d be really grateful. He has worked so hard for these exams and we are very proud of his attitude to life. Thank you x UPDATE: His EEG was scheduled for 10.30 tomorrow morning, it's now 5.20pm and the hospital has just rung to cancel because the technician has 'family circumstances'. I asked when they would be rebooking because of his forthcoming exams, and they said they have no idea until the technician comes back because he makes all his own bookings. gggggggrrrrrr - this is the first time that I've ever had a moan about the NHS lol ... I will save your messages until the day he finally has the EEG! SECOND UPDATE (lol!): Phone call from hospital to say they can fit him in tomorrow afternoon (Friday) - what a relief, as although he has one exam today, it will still be done before the rest of his exams and we can get it out of the way. Thank you so much, we really appreciate your kind thoughts and words xxx |
