Great to hear I'm not alone in collecting something. I suppose I did collect jigsaws [just horded them] till the shelf nearly collapsed. Been selling them off at car boot sales, trouble is I find others there to buy.

I prefer to collect the pewter Archibald Knox... and he is very underrated.... not many people know about his work. I have a sort of tray (damaged - someone used it as an ashtray! and a friend of mine who may be in-the-know, thinks that it may be a broken candlestick), and a brooch (very small) that are Archibald Knox - the other items I have are all archibald knox design - but are a (very) modern day usage of his designs. I would LOVE to own a clock, and some larger items... but prices are now getting to be very high compared to about ten years ago. Both pieces I have were given to me by family. I would really really like to be able to have enough money to buy some Charles Rennie Mackintosh... but that really is a dream! I guess its the period that I like... though I do prefer the Mackintosh desgns with the rose. Funny though, it was this era that I skipped past more quickley doing the family research... wonder why? Going back about ten or so years ago, I wanted to collect Clarice Cliff.. but some of her designs are just awful - and for a while people just bought her stuff because it was hers ... nowadays, CC is much less desirable.

My mother-in-law collects pigs too... presents are so easy to buy for her. My mum collects angels... anything to do with angels, and she's happy. I collect Archibald Knox items... and am convinced that one day his items will be very sought-after and become very expensive. Did I say convinced? I meant hoping... and dreaming :)

I remember not long ago I had a thing for dragons! My mother in law one day commented on how unusual they were which prompted my other half to chirp up... 'Oh yes! She has a tendency to collect ugly things' I looked at him lovingly and said.....'Obviously' Kept his mouth shut after that. Bev x

Mainly elephants - not the real ones you understand, I don't live in a big enough house! I have hundreds now, ornaments, bookends, cards, fabric, cushions, trays, everything and anything to do with elephants. It all started with pink elephant plastic 'icecubes' and went on from there - when people couldn't get pink ones, they went on to other colours, textures, materials. Now I am putting on weight I think I am turning into one too.
