Will be thinking of you Margaret. Sometimes if the main phone is engaged the call 'trips' to one in an office and those on the ward can't hear it. Or it could be that the doctor is doing his rounds and the staff are rushing about like loonies getting everything/everyone ready. Try and be patient and just keep trying. I have had exactly the same trouble getting through when mum has been in hospital. At the moment, I probably couldn't even get the switchboard as we have a 'celeb' in our intensive care and I expect the lines are completely clogged. I am sure the others are right and your hubby is just overwhelmed with the pain. Please keep us posted as we will be worrying. Maz. XX |

Hi Margaret, I'm so sorry to hear about Ken's problem. You probably know this already, as you worked in a hospital but hospitals have someone to talk to patient's relatives and help them. I will speak to you later. Take care June xx |

oh Margaret, i know exactly how you feel. Many will know i have been through the same thing as you a few weeks ago with my hubby. Luckily for us all turned out fine. after two operations and also a kidney stone the size of mount Vesuvious (spelling) Hubby is now back at work and both Kidneys are ok. Its a daunting time for both of you, but for your husband the pain is indescribable and he is probably not thinking lucidly... please remember, this is no reflection on your relationship... its just a bit like when a woman is in labour... the docs liken kidney stones to this painwise... we women turn into irrational monsters whilst in childbirth! lol. Bear with it Margaret, we all are thinking of you and Husband, and i am sure he will be alright very soon. my very best wishes to you both, Em xx |

When I was in a lot of pain prior to an op a few years ago I did not want husband or son near me. I didn't want them to see how much pain I was in. It was hard enough dealing with the pain without seeing the effect it was having on them. I hope he is out of pain soon. Gwynne |

Sorry yo hear about your husband. Phone the hospital and ask to speak to the Doctor who is looking after him. He should be able to explain what the problem is and put your mind at ease. Positive thoughts your way.........> Deb |

Same as the others ring the hospital and ask to speak to either dr or senior nurse and seek their advice but at the end of the day - go with your gut. Ann |
