Mary usually has the pc in the afternoons. My session is normally late at night and into the early hours. That way we don't get to squabble. I have heard that people with lots of friends, even pen friends, live longer than those with only relatives. Must compile some statistics and print them in my Snippets thread. len |

jude, steve thought we were all fine, he did expect us to get out the note pads and swap notes. LOL. i am glad that the husbands turned up also, as they too got an insight as why we like this site so much. think i might be able to persuade steve into geneology more if i concentrate on his tree. did you get your wedding outfit jude? how did you find the shops? were they ok? lynnxx |

Only yesterday, my husband said he didn't think I realised how much time I spend on my PC (mainly GR)! My answer was that I DO realise how long I spend on it, I just find it more interesting than housework, TV, reading, playing computer games, doing word puzzles, gossipping, etc. I don't think HE realises how much time he's wasted over the years being glued to every single sports programme that comes onto the TV! He's not so bad now, but that's only because he can now walk around with a portable radio stuck on his belt and headphones stuckin his ears. It's often impossible to talk to him because he's 'away' on some sports pitch or other. CB >|< |

Lynn - what does your hubby think now?? My hubby is ok really bless im - he's also got more or less soul charge of the remote. But l try not to spend so much time on here now and get on with my other hobbies, then l'm in the kitchen and can flit backwards and forwards from the lounge and the telly. l've been getting some emails recently about my surname,so this might get me interested again,in which case l'll be torn between the kitchen and the storeroom!!! jude sarf wales x just off now to see this Cluck Cluck!!!! lol |

It's quite obvious that the reason we are all online so often is because we can communicate with like-minded people. If my husband and sons were interested in my family tree, we would all be downstairs in the lounge looking through my files & folders. Mel has taken me to a meet and knows some members. He shows interest if I find something unusual out - more interested if its his family, of course. My sons just say 'so you found out he died in 1872? Big deal - you knew he was dead anyway!' nell |

My hubby too has complete control of the remote every evening, plus as we retired he can do his own thing during the day with reading & listening to his music. BUT i get so annoyed with him when he critisises how much time I spend on the PC. Have said to him ' You do what you like to do,& I like to do what interests me. THe house & meals dont suffer because I.m doing my hobby'. But he doesnt seem to grasp it. Not going to stop me tho!.I,m an Aries who normally flits from interest to interest after a short while, but this geneology thing has me well & truely hooked & I aint going to change. Feel, when your retired, its good to have a hobby which you enjoy. It hasnt taken me over completely tho I hasten to add. Shirley |
