She's failed. Within the first 5 mins apparently. Coming up to a junction, she didn't slow down quick enough for the examiner, so he slammed the brakes on. She's on her way home, so now I had better go and prepare myself to be here for her when she gets in :-( Thanks everyone, for your good wishes and thoughts. Maybe next time. Elaine :-)

My Son took his first test 3 days after his 18th birthday and failed, he took another 3 weeks later ( cancellation) it happened to be on the same day as he was due to take 2 A level exams!! the test was at 3.30 ( busiest time, school runs) he passed, this was 3 weeks ago. As a mum i do understand how gutted you feel for your daughter, reassurance and encouragement is all you can do for her. Good luck for next time.

Hard Luck Lianne, Get back out there girl and show the examiner he was wrong. Love June xx

Sorry to hear that but: Better to fail and get a few more weeks experience under her belt than go off on her own when not really ready. The examiner having to take control of the vehicle at any point is an immediate fail, I'm afraid. A few years ago around here a girl passed her test, went out with a friend that evening, crashed and killed them both. It's a jungle out there, you need to be 100% prepared. If it's any consolation, I took 2 attempts at both car and motorcycle tests.

Aw bad luck Lianne. I didn't want to say before ..... but I passed 2nd time. It makes for better experience in my book. I was soooooo scared on my 1st test, and when I failed I bawled my eyes out !!! 2nd test was more like having another lesson. I breezed it as I knew what to expect. You get back out ther and show 'em how it's done ;~D *hugs* Sioux
