Ah yes, David, she is, but we all know that injured toe was just a cover story so we wouldn't twig she'd driven down to London to see you! ;>))) Have you tried sucking a spoonful of honey very slowly? If you find that too sweet, squeeze the juice from half a fresh lemon into a cup, add a teaspoon of honey and top up with hot water. Stir it well and drink it as warm as you can. I used to get tonsillitis evey few months throughout my childhood, and my mother always made that remedy for me. It didn't necessarily cure the infection, but it eased the discomfort a great deal.
