I don't think any of us mean to be alarmist BB, but the very medication you are taking may well be adding to your problems, not helping. How often do you take it? and in what sort of dose? Get to the doctor tommorow PLEASE

I'm extremely concerned that a doctor may be prescribing tramadol to a patient with IBS, as tramadol has been known to be a cause of constipation (as well as dizziness and sleepiness) which may be cause for concern if someone suffers IBS so terribly that they may be forced to be hospitalised. Its usually given to after-surgery patients for pain relief... and after dentistry surgery. Maybe BB has had orthadontic surgery, or other problems and needs to inform her doctor/hospital of her IBS so that her medication can be changed?

EM i have no idea! BB seem to have problems galore and heaven knows what she takes for what! I am not sure that she was hospitalised for IBS - very unusual if she was.

Not surprised you are knocked out on Tramadol- they WILL send you to sleep. get the doctor to get them reduced and wean you off them SOON.Maybe he would suggest something like Colofac- works for me. If having altered your diet, you are still in agony maybe you need to be refered to a dietician - IBS isn't something that should rule your life! How do you manage to stay awake on here for hours at a time? jess

B.B. You do not have to quit your job. If you are 'On the sick' as we say up here, by law you cannot loose your job. Remember Kittens cost money. Food, Litter etc. please dont take on more than you ought. Jenny.

Hi BB, You were looking all lonely down the bottom of the page LOL. I've had a bit of excitement since I got home - a neighbours little boy knocked my door - could I go and look at their young cat cos she's making noises (she's pregnant).............. Nipped up there to find the sweet little thing having her contractions - when I left them to it last, she had a tiny little black one and another black and white - aaawwwhh :O) Came back to find the return of another neighbours cat (they have just moved out) who had disappeared 2 days before they went - he has been missing for about 2 weeks. So quick dash to grab some catfood and keep him occupied until they got round here to collect him. Now just sat here waiting for summat else to jazz up the evening - whatever it may be :O)
