My husband only watches Taggart so he can join in with 'thurrrs bin anuthurrrrrrrr murrrrrrrrrrrrdurrrrrrrrrrrr, sirrrrrrrrrrr'. I have just been listening to Kerry Shale reading Bill Bryson's 'notes from a small island' in which he does Bill trying to understand people in a pub in the Gorbals. My dad used to translate it into proper English for my sister when she was a bairn!! 'awa tae the but 'n' ben loses it so much if translated....away to the holiday home/cottage dont u think! lol |
